Practical setups you can copy, then adjust to your costs. Figures are examples. Each recipe says where to click; see Pricing Overview for the logic behind them.

Price per square meter

Vinyl banners, aluminium composite, printed PVC.

  1. Core Setup › Pricing › Add new pricing — label “Banner PVC 510 g”.
  2. Turn on Per-unit pricing and add one range large enough for your biggest sign — Size 5000 mm covers 25 m².
  3. Set its Base price per mm² to 0.000025: 25 per m² (1 m² = 1 000 000 mm²).
  4. Link it to the material in Core Setup › Materials.
  5. Turn on Custom Size in Sizes so customers type their dimensions.
Result

A 2 × 1 m banner costs 50; a 3 × 1.5 m banner costs 112.50.

Price bands by size

Engraved plaques, door signs — a fixed price per format.

  1. New pricing profile, Range pricing, per-unit pricing off.
  2. Add one range per format, from the smallest to the largest. A range’s Size is the side of a square of the same surface (√(width × height)): 150 × 50 mm → Size 87, price 19; 300 × 200 mm → Size 245, price 39; 600 × 400 mm → Size 490, price 79.
  3. Create the matching predefined sizes, so customers land exactly on your bands.

Degressive price per surface

Large-format signs: the bigger, the cheaper per m².

  1. Range pricing with Per-unit pricing on.
  2. Ranges: Size 500 mm (0.25 m²) → 0.00016 per mm² (160 per m²); Size 1000 mm (1 m²) → 0.00012; Size 2000 mm (4 m²) → 0.00009.
  3. Add a Minimum Order Price (Customizer Setup) so a tiny sign still covers set-up: 25.

Text-length pricing

House names, engraved messages.

In each range of the pricing profile, set a Char price of 0.50: every character the customer types adds 0.50 to the base price. Lower the base price to compensate, and combine it with the text limits of each size (Max text chars) so long texts need a larger sign.

Quantity discounts

Wayfinding sets, event signage.

In Settings › General › Discounts, turn on Discount by quantity, choose Percentage and add lots: 5+ → 5 %, 10+ → 10 %, 25+ → 15 %. Add Quantity Limits if you only accept orders of a minimum quantity.

Shipping by weight

For heavy or bulky panels, turn on Weight-based shipping in the pricing profile and enter your carrier’s Volumetric divisor (often 5000 cm³/kg). Each range’s shipping price is then applied to the volumetric weight instead of the surface.

Always test the extremes

Preview the smallest and largest possible sign with the most expensive options. If the price looks wrong at either end, adjust the ranges before going live.
