A sign price calculator built into your product page

Price by surface, per square meter, per letter or by material length, add a price to every option, and show the exact total live.

Prices that follow your real costs.

Custom signs are hard to price on a regular store: every size, letter and option changes the cost. All Sign Customizer works as a sign price calculator built into your product page. It applies your pricing rules to every combination a customer can make and shows the exact price before they add to cart. No quote, no back-and-forth, no surprise.

Every option shows its price before customers pick it, and the total updates as they go.

Panels, banners and stickers: priced by surface

Each material points to a pricing profile, and the profile turns the surface of the sign (width × height) into a price. You choose how:

  • Price bands: every sign up to a given surface costs the same (“up to A4: 29, up to A3: 45, up to A2: 69”).
  • Price per square meter (or per cm², in your unit), with several ranges for degressive pricing, so large signs cost less per m² than small ones.
  • Text: a price per character beyond a number of free characters.
  • Shipping per range, or computed from the volumetric weight of the parcel with your carrier’s divisor.

Neon and channel letters: priced by the letters

Letter signs are priced from the text itself. Choose a fixed cost per letter, a cost based on the length of material used, or both combined, each with size ranges. Fonts are linked to a pricing profile, and the minimum heights you enter for each font keep the calculated dimensions, and therefore the price, true to the typeface the customer picked. Channel letters can also use fixed height or fixed width per size.

Options, finishes and order rules

  • Every option has its own price: shapes, fixing methods, borders, colors, lighting, cliparts, backboards, jackets, mountings, additional components.
  • Add an amount or apply a multiplier: a thicker material or a double-sided sign can multiply the total instead of adding a fixed price.
  • Quantity discounts in percent or fixed amount, by quantity lots (“10+ signs: −10 %”).
  • Quantity limits and a minimum order price, so tiny signs still cover your set-up costs.
  • Quote-only products: hide the price and turn off add to cart when a sign needs a human check; customers send a quote request instead.

The price updates live as customers type and choose, and the final amount goes to the Shopify cart with the design, as its own variant. What customers pay is what the configurator showed.

Before you go live

Check that every material is linked to a pricing profile, that your smallest and largest signs both give a sensible price, and that a test order reaches the cart with the same total as the configurator. The pricing recipes give ready-to-copy setups for the most common sign pricing models.

Frequently asked questions

How do I price signs by the square meter?

Link the material to a pricing profile with per-unit ranges: the price per square meter (or cm²) is multiplied by the surface of the sign. Several ranges give degressive prices.

How are neon signs and channel letters priced?

From the text: a fixed cost per letter, a cost by material length, or both, with size ranges. Each font is linked to a pricing profile and its letter heights.

Can options add a percentage instead of a fixed price?

Yes. Thickness, double-sided signs and many letter options can either add an amount or apply a multiplier to the total.

Can I hide the price and take quote requests?

Yes. Hide the price on the design screen, turn off add to cart, and customers send a quote request with their design.
